Thus will I bless You during my life: I will lift up my hands in Your name.

But them that turn aside to crooked ways the Lord will lead away with the workers of iniquity; [but] peace [shall be] upon Israel.

Lift up your hands by night in the sanctuaries, and bless the Lord.

Let my prayer be set forth before You as incense; the lifting up of my hands [as] an evening sacrifice.

I spread forth my hands to You; my soul [thirsts] for You, as a dry land. Pause.

For Solomon [had] made a bronze scaffold, and set it in the midst of the court of the sanctuary; the length of it [was] five cubits, and the breadth of it five cubits, and the height of it three cubits. And he stood upon it, and fell upon his knees before the whole congregation of Israel, and spread abroad his hands toward heaven,

I desire therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

But I will enter into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; I will worship in Your fear toward Your holy temple.

I will worship toward Your holy temple, and give thanks to Your name, on account of Your mercy and Your truth; for You have magnified Your holy name above all things.

in front of the oracle in the midst of the house inside, [in order] to put there the ark of the covenant of the Lord.

And he made in the oracle two cherubim of ten cubits high.

And the priests bring in the ark into its place, into the oracle of the house, even into the Holy of Holies, under the wings of the cherubim.

And the holy poles projected, and the ends of the holy poles appeared out of the holy places in front of the oracle, and were not seen outside.

Yet, O Lord God of Israel, You shall look upon my petition, to hear the prayer which Your servant prays to You in Your presence this day,

And You shall hearken to the prayer of Your servant, and of Your people Israel, which they shall pray toward this place; and You shall hear in Your dwelling place in heaven, and You shall do and be gracious.

And when Daniel knew that the decree was ordered, he went into his house. And his windows were opened in his chambers toward Jerusalem, and three times in the day he knelt upon his knees, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he used to do before.
