My tears have been bread to me day and night, while they daily said to me, Where is your God?

I cried to God, and the Lord hearkened to me.

Evening and morning and at noon I will declare and make known [my needs]; and He shall hear my voice.

And God, shall He not execute justice for His own elect, who cry out day and night to Him, and yet He is patient with them?

night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face and to perfect what is lacking in your faith?

I give thanks to God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, how unceasingly I have remembrance of you in my prayers night and day,

O Lord God of hosts, how long will You be angry with the prayer of Your servant?

GIMEL. Yea, [though] I cry and shout, He shuts out my prayer.

You have veiled Yourself with a cloud because of prayer, that I might be blind, and be cast off.

Now it came to pass in those days [that] He went out to the mountain to pray, and He was spending the night in prayer to God.

And God, shall He not execute justice for His own elect, who cry out day and night to Him, and yet He is patient with them?

And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and prayed,

Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him.

And rising up from prayer, coming to the disciples, He found them sleeping from sorrow.

And leaving them, He went away again, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.
