For many dogs have compassed Me; the assembly of the evildoers has enclosed Me; they pierced My hands and My feet.

For the end, [A Psalm] of instruction, for the sons of Korah. As the deer earnestly desires the fountains of water, so my soul earnestly longs for You, O God.

My soul has thirsted for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?

A Psalm of David. Judge me, O God, and plead my cause, against an ungodly nation; deliver me from the unjust and crafty;

Send forth Your light and Your truth; they have led me, and brought me to Your holy mountain, and to Your tabernacle.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you trouble me? Hope in God; for I will give thanks to Him, [who is] the health of my countenance, [and] my God.

Destroy not my soul together with the ungodly, nor my life with bloody men;

For the Lord loves judgment, and will not forsake His saints; they shall be preserved forever; the blameless shall be avenged, but the seed of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.

saying, God has forsaken him: persecute him, and take him; for there is none to deliver [him].

For the Lord will not cast off His people for His great name's sake, because the Lord graciously took you to Himself for a people.

Let [your] way of life [be] without loving money, being satisfied with what you have. For He Himself has said, "By no means shall I desert you, nor in any way shall I forsake you;"

Be not far from Me, for affliction is near; for there is no helper.

A writing of David. Keep me, O Lord; for I have hoped in You.

I have brought near My righteousness, and I will not be slow with the salvation that is from Me; I have given salvation in Zion to Israel for glory.

Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day.

For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in [me]. Pause.

I have been afflicted and brought down exceedingly; I have roared for the groaning of my heart.

For my groaning comes before my food, and I weep, being beset with terror.

They shall proceed together as a bear and as a dove; we have waited for judgment, and there is no salvation, it is gone far from us.

And being in agony, He prayed more fervently. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down onto the ground.

who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up both prayers and supplications, with strong crying and tears to the [One] who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His fear of God,
