By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of His [mouth].

To Him who made the heavens by understanding; for His mercy [endures] forever.

To Him who established the earth on the waters; for His mercy [endures] forever.

Let them praise the name of the Lord; for He spoke, and they were made; He commanded, and they were created.

He has established them forever, even forever and ever; He has made an ordinance, and it shall not pass away.

In the beginning God made the heaven and the earth.

Thus shall you say to them: Let the gods which have not made heaven and earth perish from off the earth, and from under this sky.

It is the Lord that made the earth by His strength, who set up the world by His wisdom, and by His understanding stretched out the sky,

O great Lord! You have made the heaven and the earth by Your great power, and with Your high and lofty arm; nothing can be hidden from You.

All things came to be through Him, and without Him nothing came to be which has come to be.

because by Him all things were created, those in the heavens and those on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him.

saying with a loud voice, "Fear the Lord and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and you shall worship Him who made heaven and earth, and the sea and fountains of waters."

For the sea is His, and He made it; and His hands formed the dry land.

For in six days the Lord made the heaven and the earth, and the sea and all things in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it.

And I shut up the sea with gates, when it rushed out, coming forth out its mother's womb.

And I set bounds to it, surrounding it with bars and gates.

and when He strengthened the clouds above, and when He secured the fountains of the earth;

and when He strengthened the foundations of the earth;

For You have said, Mercy shall be built up forever; Your truth shall be established in the heavens.

But My mercy I will not utterly remove from him, nor wrong My truth.

He has remembered His mercy to Jacob, and His truth to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting; and His truth [endures] from generation to generation.

You shall know therefore, that the Lord your God, He [is] God, a faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy for them that love Him, and for those that keep His commandments to a thousand generations,

And I prayed to the Lord my God, and confessed, and said, O Lord, the great and wonderful God, keeping Your covenant and Your mercy to them that love You, and to them that keep Your commandments; we have sinned;

He shall give blessings truly to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as You swore to our fathers, according to the former days.

Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods" '?

in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time [itself],

in order that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong encouragement, who have fled to take hold of the hope being set before [us];
