But when You have turned away Your face, they shall be troubled; You will take away their breath, and they shall fail, and return to their dust.

And God formed the man of the dust of the earth, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

[ 6:18] And behold, I shall bring a flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven, and whatsoever things are upon the earth shall die.

But a man that has died is utterly gone, and when a mortal has fallen, he is no more.

I perish, carried away by the wind, and I seek for burial, and obtain it not.

verily, while my breath is yet in me, and the breath of God which remains to me is in my nostrils,

And you have exalted yourself against the Lord God of heaven; and they have brought before you the vessels of His house, and you, your nobles, your mistresses, and your concubines have drunk wine out of them; and you have praised the gods of gold, silver, brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, and which hear not, and know not: and the God who holds your breath in His hand and owns all your ways, you have not glorified.

Turn not man back to [his] low place, whereas You said, Return, you sons of men?

[ 3:20] In the sweat of your face shall you eat your bread until you return to the ground out of which you were taken, for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.

[before] the dust also return to the earth as it was, and the spirit return to God who gave it.

and though his children be multiplied, he knows it not; and if they be few, he is not aware.

My days have passed in groaning, and my heart strings are broken.

RECHS. The breath of our nostrils, our anointed Lord, was taken in their destructive snares, of whom we said, In His shadow we shall live among the Gentiles.

However, we speak wisdom among those that are perfect, but not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are being destroyed.
