What is man, that You are mindful of him? Or the son of man, that You visit him?

For what is man, that You have magnified him? Or that You give heed to him?

For who, being a mortal, [is such] that he shall be blameless? Or [who that is] born of a woman, that he should be just?

But someone somewhere testified, saying: "What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You visit him?

Trust not in princes, nor in the children of men, in whom there is no safety.

His breath shall go forth, and he shall return to his earth; in that day all his thoughts shall perish.
