A Song of Degrees. In my affliction I cried to the Lord, and He hearkened to me.

A Song of Degrees. I lifted up my eyes to the mountains- from where my help shall come.

A Song of Degrees. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

A Song of Degrees. Unto You who dwells in heaven have I lifted up my eyes.

A Song of Degrees. If it had not been that the Lord was among us, let Israel now say;

A Song of Degrees. They that trust in the Lord [shall be] as Mount Zion: he that dwells in Jerusalem shall never be moved.

A Song of Degrees. When the Lord turned the captivity of Zion, we became as those that are comforted.

A Song of Degrees. Except the Lord build the house, they that build labor in vain: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman watches in vain.

[A Psalm] of David. Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all [that is] within me, [bless] His holy name.

As a father pities [his] children, the Lord pities them that fear Him.

But the mercy of the Lord is from generation to generation upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children;

Alleluia. Blessed is the man that fears the Lord; he will delight greatly in His commandments.

He has blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

The Lord takes pleasure in them that fear Him, and in all that hope in His mercy.

And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.

Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of evil men.

And he shall be as a tree planted by the brooks of waters, which shall yield its fruit in its season, and its leaf shall not fall off; and whatsoever he shall do shall prosper.

If My people had hearkened to Me, if Israel had walked in My ways,

Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified, and going in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, were multiplying.

Finally then, brothers, we request of you and exhort [you] in the Lord Jesus, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you should abound more.
