For the end, A Psalm of David among the Hymns for the eighth. O Lord, rebuke me not in Your wrath, neither chasten me in Your anger.

Mattithiah, Elipheleh, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps of Sheminith, to make a loud noise.

Arise, O Lord; deliver me, my God; for You have struck all who were my enemies without cause; You have broken the teeth of sinners.

Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: save me for Your mercy's sake.

For the end, among Hymns of instruction by David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Lo, is not David hiding with us? Save me, O God, by Your name, and judge me by Your might.

Then the disciples came and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"

But seeing the strong wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"

[ 6:13] And the Lord God saw the earth, that it was corrupted; because all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth.

And if the Lord of Sabaoth had not left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, and been made like Gomorrah.

How has the faithful city of Zion, [once] full of judgment, become a harlot! Where righteousness lodged, but now murderers.

Your silver is worthless, your wine merchants mix the wine with water.

See how the just man has perished, and no one lays [it] to heart; and righteous men are taken away, and no one considers; for the righteous has been removed out of the way of injustice.

And I looked, and there was no helper; and I observed, and none upheld; therefore My arm delivered them, and My anger drew near.

Run about in the streets of Jerusalem and see, and know, and seek in her broad places, if you can find [one], if there is anyone that executes judgment, and seeks faithfulness, and I will pardon them, says the Lord.

Alas for me! For I have become as one gathering straw in harvest, and as [one gathering] grape-gleanings in the vintage, when there is no cluster for me to eat the first-ripe fruit: alas my soul!

For the godly has perished from the earth; and there is none upright among men: they all quarrel even to blood: they grievously afflict everyone his neighbor.

And because lawlessness will increase, the love of many will grow cold.

A man is valuable and a merciful man precious, but it is hard to find a faithful man.

None speaks justly, neither is there true judgment; they trust in vanities, and speak empty [words]; for they conceive trouble, and bring forth iniquity.

We have sinned, and dealt falsely, and revolted from our God; we have spoken unrighteous words, and have been disobedient; we have conceived and uttered from our heart unrighteous words.

And truth has been taken away, and they have turned aside [their] mind from understanding. And the Lord saw it, and it pleased Him not that there was no judgment.
