Turn away my eyes that I may not behold vanity; revive me in Your way.

I gain understanding by Your commandments; therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.

Therefore I directed myself [according] to all Your commandments; I have hated every unjust way.

I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love Your law.

Set a watch, O Lord, on my mouth, and a strong door about by lips.

Incline not my heart to evil things, to employ pretexts for sins, with men who work iniquity: and let me not unite with their choice ones.

Remove vanity and falsehood far from me, and give me neither wealth nor poverty, but appoint [to] me what is needful and sufficient:

Know that their heart is ashes, and they err, and no one is able to deliver his soul; see, you will not say, [There is a] lie in my right hand.

O Lord, You are my strength and my help, and my refuge in days of evil. To You the Gentiles shall come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, How worthless [were the] idols [which] our fathers procured for themselves, and there is no help in them.

[ 2:9] Those that observe vanities and lies have forsaken their own mercy.

that you put off, concerning your former way of life, the old man which is being corrupted according to the deceitful lusts,

and that you put on the new man which was created in the likeness of God, in true righteousness and holiness.

If we claim that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

He who says, "I have come to know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

But outside are dogs and drug users and fornicators and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices a lie.

O that my ways were directed to keep Your statutes.

For this is My covenant which I will make with the house of Israel: after those days, says the Lord, I will surely put My laws into their mind, and write them on their hearts. And I will be to them a God, and they shall be to Me a people.

And no more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord. For all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their iniquities, and their sins I will remember no more.

For this is the covenant which I shall covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind, and I shall inscribe them upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

And by no means will they teach each [one] his fellow citizen, and each [one] his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.
