The vows of Your praise, O God, which I will pay, are upon me.

I will go into Your house with whole burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows,

which my lips framed, and my mouth uttered in my affliction.

And that whoever should not seek the Lord God of Israel should die, whether young or old, whether man or woman.

And they swore to the Lord with a loud voice, and with trumpets, and with cornets.

were urgent with their brothers, and bound them under a curse, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in the law of God, which was given by the hand of Moses, the servant of God; to keep and to do all the commandments of the Lord, and His judgments, and His ordinances.

Whenever you shall vow a vow to God, defer not to pay it; for [He has] no pleasure in fools. Pay, therefore, whatsoever you have vowed.

[It is] better that you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay.

"Again you have heard that it was said to the ancients, 'You shall not swear falsely, but you shall pay your oaths to the Lord.'

and not as we hoped, but they first gave their own selves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God,

Depart from me, You evildoers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.

And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His ordinances with all [his] heart and with all [his] soul, to confirm the words of this covenant; [even] [all] the things written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.
