And they forgot His benefits, and His miracles which He [had] shown them;

Bring them in and plant them in the mountain of their inheritance, in Your prepared habitation, which You, O Lord, have prepared; the sanctuary, O Lord, which Your hands have made ready.

And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron.

And he called the name of that place, Temptation and Reviling, because of the reviling of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord among us or not?

but you disdained my counsels, and disregarded my reproofs;

neither would they attend to my counsels, but derided my reproofs.

Thus says the Lord that delivered you, the Holy One of Israel; I am your God, I have shown you how you should find the way in which you should walk.

And if you had hearkened to My commandments, [then] would your peace have been like a river, and your righteousness as a wave of the sea.
