The eyes of all wait upon You; and You give [them] their food in due season.

You open Your hands, and fill every living thing with pleasure.

who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who causes grass to spring up on the mountains, [and green herb for the service of men];

and gives cattle their food, and to the young ravens that call upon Him.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the herb of grass bearing seed according to its kind and according to its likeness, and the fruit tree bearing fruit whose seed is in it, according to its kind on the earth, and it was so.

And God said, Behold, I have given to you every seed-bearing herb sowing seed which is upon all the earth, and every tree which has in itself the fruit of seed that is sown, to you it shall be for food.

and every herb of the field before it was on the earth, and all the grass of the field before it sprang up, for God had not rained on the earth, and there was not a man to cultivate it.

And Ahab said to Obadiah, Come, and let us go through the land, and to the fountains of water, and to the brooks, if by any means we may find grass, and may save the horses and mules, and so they will not perish.

[ 3:19] Thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to you, and you shall eat the herb of the field.

And every reptile which is living shall be to you for food, I have given all things to you as the green herbs.

Who gives food to all flesh; for His mercy [endures] forever.

When you till the earth, then it shall not continue to give its strength to you: you shall be groaning and trembling on the earth.

[As for] the earth, out of it shall come bread; under it has been turned up as it were fire.

So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.
