The Lord looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, to see if there were any that understood, or sought after God.

The Lord looks out of heaven; He beholds all the sons of men.

He looks [down] from His dwelling place on all the inhabitants of the earth;

Look down from Your holy house, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel, and the land which You have given them, as You swore to our fathers, to give to us a land flowing with milk and honey.

then shall You hearken from heaven, out of Your established dwelling place, and shall be merciful, and shall do, and recompense to [every] man according to his ways, as You shall know his heart, for You alone know the heart of all the children of men;

then shall You hear [them] from heaven, out of Your established dwelling place, and You shall do according to all that the stranger shall call upon You for, that all the nations may know Your name, and fear You, as [do] Your people Israel, and may know that Your name has been called on this house which I have built.

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout all the earth, to strengthen every heart that is perfect toward Him. In this you have done foolishly; henceforth there shall be war with you.

Does not He that dwells in the high places observe? And has He not brought down the proud?

Now this is the main point of the things being said: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord set up, and not man.

Therefore it [was] necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens to be continually purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves by better sacrifices than these.

For Christ did not enter into [the] holies made by hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf;
