And when I was afflicted I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: He heard my voice out of His holy temple, and my cry shall enter before Him, into His ears.

If I have regarded iniquity in my heart, let not the Lord hearken [to me].

Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.

Alleluia. I am well pleased, because the Lord will hearken to the voice of my supplication.

Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore will I call upon Him while I live.

Were I to laugh at them, they would not believe it; and the light of my face has not failed.

And Moses spoke thus to the sons of Israel, and they hearkened not to Moses, on account of [their] faint-heartedness, and for their hard tasks.

A Song of Degrees. When the Lord turned the captivity of Zion, we became as those that are comforted.

But as they still disbelieved for joy, and marveled, He said to them, "Do you have any food here?"

When she recognized Peter's voice, because of her gladness she did not open the gate, but running in, she announced that Peter stood before the gate.

But Peter was continuing knocking; and opening [the door] they saw him, and were astounded.
