And if He too has thus judged, who is he that has contradicted, for He has both willed a thing and done it.

And He will give quiet, and who will condemn? And He will hide His face, and who shall see Him? Whether it be done against a nation, or against a man, also:

All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and He does according to His will in the host of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and there is none who shall withstand His power, and say to Him, What have You done?

In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,

And if He should overthrow all things, who will say to Him, What have You done?

But you say, Why has He not heard every word of my cause?

What excellent thing have I prepared as clay of the potter? Will the plowman plow the earth all day? Shall the clay say to the potter, What are you doing that you do not work, nor have hands? Shall the thing formed answer Him that formed it?

O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter? Behold, as the clay [is in] the potter's[hand], so are you in My hands.

Yes, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.

Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own [things]? Or is your eye evil because I am good?'

So then He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.

But indeed, O man, who are you to [be] answering back against God? Surely the thing formed will not say to him who formed it, "Why did you made me like this?"

"For who has known [the] mind of the LORD? Or who has been His counselor?"
