But since I am ungodly, why have I not died?

You had thoroughly plunged me in filth, and my garment has abhorred me.

For You have written evil things against me, and You have compassed me with the sins of my youth.

But You have numbered my devices: and not one of my sins shall escape You.

Is not your wickedness abundant, and your sins innumerable?

or if also having sinned unintentionally, I hid my sin;

I am blameless, for I have not transgressed.

Even then a man shall blame himself, saying, What kind of things have I done? And He has not punished me according to the full amount of my sins.

O Lord God of hosts, how long will You be angry with the prayer of Your servant?

And Ezra said, You are the only true Lord; You have made the heaven, and the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and everything in it, the seas, and everything in them; and You give life to all things, and the hosts of heaven worship You.

Your righteousness is as the mountains of God, Your judgments are as a great deep; O Lord, You will preserve men and beasts.

Am I a sea, or a serpent, that you have set a watch over me?

For the arrows of the Lord are in my body, whose violence drinks up my blood: whenever I am going to speak, they pierce me.

[ 16:13] When I was at peace He distracted me: He took me by the hair of the head, and plucked it out: He set me up as a mark.

[ 16:15] They overthrew me with fall upon fall: they ran upon me in [their] might.

For You shall make them [turn their] back in Your latter end; You will prepare their face.

HE. He has bent His bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.

Then neither will I refrain my mouth; I will speak being in distress; being in anguish I will disclose the bitterness of my soul.

For my groaning comes before my food, and I weep, being beset with terror.
