But if you shall also say, What shall we say before him, and so find the root of the matter in him?

For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that we have conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and especially toward you.

But let each [person] examine his own work, and then he will have boasting in himself alone, and not in the other.

So then you [alone] are men, and wisdom shall die with you?

[But] I also have a heart as well as you.

And I know all that you know, too; and I have no less understanding than you.
