Therefore teach me what shall we say to Him? And let us cease from saying much.

Will you find out the traces of the Lord? Or have you come to the end of that which the Almighty has made?

Behold, these are parts of His way; and we will hearken to Him at the least intimation of His word: but who knows the strength of His thunder, when He shall employ it?

Behold, the Mighty One is great, and we shall not know [Him]: the number of His years is infinite.

God has taught me wisdom, and I know the knowledge of the Holy One.

Who has gone up to heaven, and come down? Who has gathered the winds in His bosom? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has dominion of all the ends of the earth? What is His name? Or what is the name of His children?

All the things which He has made are beautiful in His time. He has also set the whole world in their heart, that man might not find out the work which God has done from the beginning, even to the end.

And turning to His disciples He said, "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and [the one] to whom the Son wills to reveal [Him]."

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable [are] His judgments and untraceable [are] His ways!

who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or is able to see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

For He is wise in mind, and mighty, and great: who has hardened himself against Him and endured?

For indeed He is strong in power: who then shall resist His judgment?

With Him are wisdom and power, with Him counsel and understanding.

But know that the Lord will not cast off an innocent man: being mighty in strength of wisdom,

God has spoken once, [and] I have heard these two things, that power is of God;

who establish the mountains in Your strength, being girded about with power;

Say unto God, How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.

For the day before the Sabbath, when the land was [first] inhabited, the praise of a Song by David. The Lord reigns; He has clothed Himself with honor; the Lord has clothed and girded Himself with strength; for He has established the world, which shall not be moved.

And the king's honor loves judgment; You have prepared equity, You have established judgment and justice in Jacob.

who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things in them; who keeps truth forever;

who executes judgment for the wronged: who gives food to the hungry. The Lord looses the fettered ones.

If they will declare, let them draw near, that they may know together, who has caused these things to be heard from the beginning; then was it told you. I am God, and there is not another beside Me; a just [God] and a Savior; there is none besides Me.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil [one]. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

O Lord, Your mercy is in the heavens; and Your truth [reaches] to the clouds.

How have You multiplied Your mercy, O God! So the children of men shall trust in the shelter of Your wings.

[ 16:8] But now He has made me weary, and a worn out fool, and He has laid hold of me.

[ 16:10] In His anger He has cast me down; He has gnashed His teeth upon me: the weapons of His robbers have fallen upon me.

[ 16:12] For the Lord has delivered me into the hands of unrighteous men, and thrown me upon the ungodly.

[ 16:14] They surrounded me with spears, aiming at my reins: without sparing me they poured out my gall upon the ground.

[ 16:16] They sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and my strength has been spent on the ground.

[ 16:18] Yet there was no injustice on my hands, and my prayer is pure.

For anger is in His wrath, but life in His favor; weeping shall tarry for the evening, but joy comes in the morning.

CHAPH. For He that has brought down will pity, and that according to the abundance of His mercy.

He has not answered in anger from His heart, though He has brought low the children of a man.

For they indeed for a few days were disciplining us, as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, in order to partake of His holiness.
