And Hezekiah turned to the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying,

And Isaiah was in the middle court, and the word of the Lord came to him, saying,

And when he was afflicted, he sought the face of the Lord his God, and was greatly humbled before the face of the God of his fathers;

and he prayed to Him. And He hearkened to him, and listened to his cry, and brought him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom. And Manasseh knew that the Lord, He is God.

behold, [they are] in the account of his prayer. And [God] hearkened to him. And all his sins, and his backslidings, and the spots on which he built the high places, and set there groves and graven images, before he repented, behold, they are written in the books of the seers.

For the end, A Psalm of David among the Hymns for the eighth. O Lord, rebuke me not in Your wrath, neither chasten me in Your anger.

My soul also is grievously vexed: but You, O Lord, how long?

For in death no man remembers You; and who will give You thanks in Hades?

My eye is troubled because of my wrath; I am worn out because of all my enemies.

The Lord has hearkened to my petition; the Lord has accepted my prayer.

[A Psalm] of David. To You, O Lord, have I cried; my God, be not silent toward me; lest You be silent toward me, and so I should be likened to them that go down to the pit.

Hearken to the voice of my supplication, when I pray to You, when I lift up my hands toward Your holy temple.

Blessed be the Lord, for He has hearkened to the voice of my petition.

O Lord, in Your good pleasure You added strength to my beauty; but You turned away Your face, and I was troubled.

What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to destruction? Shall the dust give praise to You? Or shall it declare Your truth?

You have turned my mourning into joy for me; You have removed my sackcloth, and have clothed me with gladness;

They denounced a wicked word against me, [saying], Now that he lies, shall he not rise up again?

But You, O Lord, have compassion upon me, and raise me up, and I shall requite them.

And call upon Me in the day of affliction; and I shall deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Pause.

He shall call upon Me, and I will hearken to him; I am with him in affliction; and I will deliver him, and glorify him.

Alleluia. I am well pleased, because the Lord will hearken to the voice of my supplication.

The pangs of death compassed me; the dangers of hell found me; I found affliction and sorrow.

The Lord is merciful and righteous; yea, our God has pity.

For the holy people shall dwell in Zion; and [whereas] Jerusalem has wept bitterly, [saying], Pity me; He shall pity you; when He heard the voice of your cry, He hearkened to you.

Cry out to Me, and I will answer you, and I will declare to you great and mighty things, which you know not.

[ 2:3] and said, I cried in my affliction to the Lord my God, and He hearkened unto me, even to my cry out of the belly of hell: You heard my voice.

So Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Minaean, went and did as the Lord commanded them: and He pardoned their sin for the sake of Job.

the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and have mercy upon you;

the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

Many say, Who will show us good things? The light of Your countenance, O Lord, has been manifested towards us.

You have put gladness into my heart: they have been satisfied with the fruit of their grain and wine and oil.

You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me with joy with Your countenance: at Your right hand [there are] delights forever.

For anger is in His wrath, but life in His favor; weeping shall tarry for the evening, but joy comes in the morning.

You have made known to me the ways of life; You will fill me full of joy in Your presence."

Now to Him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to make you stand before His glory, blameless with exultation,

Yea, He renders to a man accordingly as each of them does, and in a man's path He will find him.

And the Lord shall recompense each according to his righteousness and his truth, since the Lord delivered you this day into my hands, and I would not lift my hand against the Lord's anointed.

And the Lord shall recompense me according to my righteousness; even according to the purity of my hands shall He recompense me.

and mercy is Yours, O Lord; for You will recompense everyone according to his works.

But if you should say, I know not this man; know that the Lord knows the hearts of all; and He that formed breath for all, He knows all things, who renders to every man according to his works.

He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. And he that receives a righteous [man] in the name of a righteous [man] shall receive a righteous [man's] reward.

And whoever gives one of these little [ones] only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward."

regarding the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward.
