There they shall cry, and none shall hear, even because of the insolence of wicked men.

For the Lord desires not to look on error, for He is the Almighty One.

They cried, but there was no deliverer: [even] to the Lord, but He hearkened not to them.

If I have regarded iniquity in my heart, let not the Lord hearken [to me].

When he is judged, let him go forth condemned; and let his prayer become sin.

For it shall be that when you call upon me, I will not listen to you: wicked men shall seek me, but shall not find me.

He that turns away his ear from hearing the law, even he has made his prayer abominable.

When you stretch forth your hands, I will turn away My eyes from you; and though you make many supplications, I will not hearken to you; for your hands are full of blood.

Therefore thus says the Lord: Behold, I bring evils upon this people, out of which they shall not be able to come forth; and they shall presently cry to Me, but I will not listen to them.

for though they fast, I will not hear their supplication; and though they offer whole burnt offerings and sacrifices, I will take no pleasure in them: for I will consume them with the sword, and with famine, and with pestilence.

Therefore will I deal with them in wrath: My eye shall not spare, nor will I have any mercy.

thus they shall cry to the Lord, but He shall not hearken to them; and He shall turn away His face from them at that time, because they have done wickedly in their practices against themselves.

Therefore it came to pass, [that] as He spoke and they did not listen, so they shall cry, and I will not listen, says the Lord Almighty.

Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is God-fearing and does His will, He hears him.

You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend [it] in [gratifying] your lusts.

And their hearts did not cry to Me, but they howled on their beds: they pined for oil and wine.

When once the Master of the house has risen up and shuts the door, and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open for us,' and answering He will say to you, 'I do not know you, where you are from.'
