There the ungodly have burnt out the fury of rage; there the wearied in body rest.

And the men of old time have together ceased to hear the voice of the oppressor.

For I know that death will destroy me: for the earth is the house [appointed] for every mortal.

[ 3:20] In the sweat of your face shall you eat your bread until you return to the ground out of which you were taken, for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.

A generation goes, and a generation comes; but the earth abides forever.

There is no man that has power over the spirit to retain the spirit; and there is no power in the day of death; and there is no discharge in the day of the battle; neither shall wickedness deliver those who are given to it.

[before] the dust also return to the earth as it was, and the spirit return to God who gave it.
