For though I should seem righteous, my mouth will be profane, and though I should seem blameless, I shall be proved perverse.

and their tongues have set him at nought, all that saw them were troubled;

For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned."

Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying, "He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!

And he said to him, 'Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was a harsh man, taking up what I did not deposit, and reaping what I did not sow.

But you have said in my ears, (I have heard the voice of your words) because you say, I am pure, not having sinned;

Yet He has discovered a charge against me, and He has reckoned me as an adversary.

For how do you say, I am righteous, yet He has not listened to me? For He that is above mortals is eternal.

For Job has said, I am righteous: the Lord has removed my judgment.

What man is like Job, drinking scorning like water?

For you should not say, There shall be no visitation of a man, whereas [there is] a visitation on him from the Lord.

What is this that you think is right? Who are you that you have said, I am righteous before the Lord?

I will answer you, and your three friends.

[ 40:3] Do not set aside My judgment: and do you think that I have dealt with you in any other way, than that you might appear to be righteous?

For who is he that hides counsel from You? Or who keeps back his words, and thinks to hide them from You? And who will tell me what I knew not, great and wonderful things which I understood not?
