Years shall be vanity to them; let the morning pass away as grass.

For we have perished in Your anger, and in Your wrath we have been troubled.

For all our days are gone, and we have passed away in Your wrath; our years have spun out their tale as a spider.

When the sinners spring up as the grass, and all the workers of iniquity have watched; [it is] that they may be utterly destroyed forever.

The righteous shall flourish as a palmtree; he shall be increased as the cedar in Lebanon.

[As for] man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so shall he flourish.

For the wind passes over it, and it shall not be; and it shall know its place no more.

The voice of one saying, Cry; and I said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass.

The grass withers, and the flower fades; but the word of our God abides forever.

but the rich [man] in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.

For the sun arose with burning heat and withered the grass, and its flower fell off, and its beautiful appearance perished. So the rich man also shall fade away in his pursuits.

[you] who do not know [what will] happen tomorrow. For what is your life? For it will be a vapor that appears for a little [time], but then also disappears.

For "All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man is as the flower of [the] grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away,

(for we are of yesterday, and know nothing; for our life upon the earth is a shadow:)

But my life is swifter than a post: [my days] have fled away, and they knew it not.

Or again, is there a trace of [their] path [left] by ships? Or is there one of the flying eagle as it seeks its prey?

for we are strangers before You, and sojourners, as all our fathers [were]; our days upon the earth [are] as a shadow, and there is no remaining.

My days have declined like a shadow; and I am withered like grass.

Man is likened unto vanity: his days pass as a shadow.

But it shall not be well with the ungodly, and he shall not prolong his days, [which are but] a shadow; forasmuch as he fears not before God.
