But you are all bad physicians, and healers of diseases.

Will a wise man give for answer a [mere] breath of wisdom? And does he fill up the pain of his belly,

reasoning with improper sayings, and with words in which is no profit?

But if not, who is he that says I speak falsely, and will make my words of no account?

For a righteous and blameless man has become a subject for mockery.

For [it were] well if He would thoroughly search you: for though doing all things [in your power] you should attach yourselves to Him,

Weary I intreat; and what have I done? And strangers have stolen my goods.

What man is like Job, drinking scorning like water?

They tempted me, they sneered at me most contemptuously, they gnashed their teeth upon me.

I have not sat in the assembly of them as they mocked, but I feared because of Your power. I sat alone, for I was filled with bitterness.

how they told you that in the last time there would be mockers, walking according to their own ungodly lusts.

Fill their faces with dishonor; so shall they seek Your name, O Lord.

Now if anyone does not obey our word in this letter, take note of him, and do not associate with him, that he may be ashamed.

sound speech that cannot be condemned, in order that the [one] who is an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
