Nevertheless I will beseech the Lord, and will call upon the Lord, the Sovereign of all;

But you be early in prayer to the Lord Almighty.

If you are pure and true, He will listen to your supplication, and will restore to you the habitation of righteousness.

Be firm, I pray, if you can endure; then your fruit shall prosper.

And receive a declaration from His mouth, and lay up His words in your heart.

And Samuel spoke to all the house of Israel, saying, If you return to the Lord with all your heart, [then] take away the strange gods from your midst, and the groves, and prepare your hearts to serve the Lord, and serve Him only; and He shall deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.

And he did evil, for he did not set his heart on seeking the Lord.

Nevertheless [some] good things have been found in you, forasmuch as you did remove the groves from the land of Judah, and you directed your heart to seek after the Lord.

That they should not be as their fathers, a perverse and provoking generation; a generation which set not its heart aright, and its spirit was not steadfast with God.

And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not get ready or do according to his will, shall be beaten [with] many [blows].

Ambassadors shall arrive out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall hasten [to stretch out] her hand readily to God.

My eyes are dimmed from poverty; but I cried out to You, O Lord, all the day; I spread forth my hands to You.

I spread forth my hands to You; my soul [thirsts] for You, as a dry land. Pause.
