For You have written evil things against me, and You have compassed me with the sins of my youth.

And You have placed my foot in the stocks, and You have watched all my works, and have penetrated my heels.

But You have numbered my devices: and not one of my sins shall escape You.

If You, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

For the end, A Psalm of David. O Lord, You have proved me, and known me.

Why have You not forgotten my iniquity, and purged my sin? But now I shall depart to the earth, and in the morning I am no more.

and keeping justice and mercy for thousands, taking away iniquity and unrighteousness and sins; and He will not clear the guilty; bringing the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and to the children's children, to the third and fourth generation.

The Lord [is] longsuffering and merciful, and true, removing transgressions and iniquities and sins, and He shall by no means clear the guilty, visiting the sins of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation.
