So the warriors left the prisoners and the spoils before the princes and all the congregation.

And the men who were called by name rose up, and took hold of the prisoners, and clothed all the naked from the spoils, and gave them garments and shoes, and gave them [food] to eat, and [oil] to anoint themselves [with], and they let everyone that was weak [to ride on] donkeys, and placed them in Jericho, the city of palm trees, with their brethren; and they returned to Samaria.

Then all the congregation answered and said, This your word [is] powerful upon us to do it.

Jesus said to him, "If you desire to be perfect, go, sell your belongings and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

But when the young man heard the word, he went away grieved, for he had many possessions.

Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, I give half of my possessions to the poor; and if I have extorted anything from anyone, I restore fourfold."

were urgent with their brothers, and bound them under a curse, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in the law of God, which was given by the hand of Moses, the servant of God; to keep and to do all the commandments of the Lord, and His judgments, and His ordinances.

And I strove with them and cursed them; and I struck some of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, [saying,] You shall not give your daughters to their sons, and you shall not take of their daughters to your sons.

And the king went up to the house of the Lord, and every man of Judah, and all who dwelt in Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people small and great; and he read in their ears all the words of the Book of the Covenant that was found in the house of the Lord.

And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the Lord, to walk after the Lord, to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His ordinances with all [his] heart and with all [his] soul, to confirm the words of this covenant; [even] [all] the things written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.

If a man sin against his neighbor, and he bring an oath upon him so as to make him swear, and he should come and swear before the altar in this house;

then shall You hearken out of heaven, and do, and judge Your servants, to recompense the transgressor, and to return his ways upon his head, and to justify the righteous, to recompense him according to his righteousness.

And that whoever should not seek the Lord God of Israel should die, whether young or old, whether man or woman.

And they swore to the Lord with a loud voice, and with trumpets, and with cornets.

Then Ezra arose, and caused the rulers, the priests, the Levites, and all Israel, to swear that they would do according to this word. And they swore.

[This is] the word that came from the Lord to Jeremiah, after King Zedekiah had made a covenant with the people, to proclaim a release:

Then all the nobles, and all the people who had entered into the covenant, [engaging] to set free everyone of his male and female slaves, [changed their minds],

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest answered and said to Him, "I adjure You by the living God: Tell us if You are the Christ, the Son of God!"
