And Joab sent to Tekoa, and took from there a cunning woman, and said to her, Mourn, and put on mourning apparel, and anoint yourself not with oil, and you shall be as a woman mourning for one that is dead thus for many days.

Thus said the Lord: Make for yourself bonds and yokes, and put [them] about your neck,

And the nation and kingdom, all that shall not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, with sword and famine will I visit them, says the Lord, until they are consumed by his hand.

I spoke also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Put your neck into [the yoke], and serve the king of Babylon.

In that day, said the Lord, I will break the yoke off their neck, and will burst their bonds, and they shall no longer serve strangers.

But they shall serve the Lord their God; and I will raise up to them David their king.

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
