Then the king sent to Rehum the chancellor, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their fellow servants who dwelt in Samaria, and the rest beyond the river, [saying,] Peace; and he said,

O king, live forever!

King Nebuchadnezzar, to all nations, tribes, and tongues that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied to you.

And Daniel said to the king, O king, live forever!

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.
