Seven days shall you offer whole burnt offerings to the Lord, and the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall offer whole burnt offerings to the Lord: it is a time of release, you shall do no customary work.

Six days shall you eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day is a holiday, a feast to the Lord your God: you shall not do in it any work, except what must be done by anyone.

And [Ezra] read in the Book of the Law of God daily, from the first day even to the last day; and they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day [was] a solemn assembly, according to the ordinance.

Sanctify a fast, proclaim a solemn service, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of your God, and cry earnestly to the Lord,

And the congregation purposed together to keep another seven days. And they kept [another] seven days with gladness.

So Solomon kept the feast in that day, and all Israel with him, even a great assembly from the entering in of Hamath to the river of Egypt, before the Lord our God in the house which he built, eating and drinking, and rejoicing before the Lord our God for seven days.
