He was thirty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. And he departed without honor, and was buried in the City of David, but not in the tombs of the kings.

And Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial [place] of the kings, for they said, He is a leper; and Jotham his son reigned in his place.

And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the garden of his house; and Amon his son reigned in his place.

Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel: I said, Your house and the house of your father shall pass before Me forever: but now the Lord says, Far be it from Me; for I will only honor them that honor Me, and he that despises Me shall be despised.

The memory of the just is praised, but the name of the ungodly [man] is extinguished.
