Then Solomon went to Ezion Geber, and to Elath near the sea in the land of Edom.

He built Elath and restored it to Judah, after the king slept with his fathers.

At that time Rezin king of Syria captured Elath for Syria, and drove out the Jews from Elath, and the Edomites came to Elath, and dwelt there to this day.

Then Joash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, [son] of Joash, son of Jehoahaz, in Beth Shemesh, and brought him to Jerusalem; and he pulled down [part] of the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the Corner Gate, four hundred cubits.

And they took him up on horses, and buried him with his fathers in the City of David.
