And it came to pass after Amaziah had returned from attacking Edom, that he brought home the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up for himself as gods, and bowed down before them, and he sacrificed to them.

And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the Lord all the days of Jehoiada the priest.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Amaziah his father did.

But the Lord said to Samuel, Look not on his appearance, nor on his stature, for I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.

Only he removed not the high places; as yet the people sacrificed and burnt incense on the high places.

For their heart [was] not right with Him, neither were they steadfast in His covenant.

They have divided their hearts; now shall they be utterly destroyed: he shall dig down their altars, their pillars shall mourn.

You have neither part nor portion in this word, for your heart is not straight before God.

he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [you] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [you] double-minded.
