So the Lord delivered Israel in that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead by the shore of the sea.

For many fell slain, because the war [was] of God. And they dwelt in their place until the captivity.

He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill up [the number of] corpses, He shall crush the heads of many on the earth.

And the angel of the Lord went forth, and killed out of the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty-five thousand; and they arose in the morning and found all [these] bodies dead.

to fight against the Chaldeans, and to fill it with the corpses of men, whom I struck down in My anger and My wrath, and turned away My face from them, for all their wickedness.

whereas we have repeatedly broken Your commandments, and intermarried with the people of the lands. Be not very angry with us to [our] utter destruction, so that there should be no remnant or survivor.
