And King Rehoboam went to Shechem;

The sons of Solomon [were] Rehoboam, Abijah his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,

Solomon begot Rehoboam, Rehoboam begot Abijah, and Abijah begot Asa.

And Abram traveled the land lengthwise as far as Shechem, to the terebinth tree of Moreh. And the Canaanites then inhabited the land.

And his brothers went to feed the sheep of their father in Shechem.

And Israel said to Joseph, Do not your brothers feed their flock in Shechem? Come, I will send you to them; and he said to him, Behold, I [am here].

And Joshua separated Kadesh in Galilee in the mountains of Nephthali, and Shechem in the mountains of Ephraim, and the city of Arba; this is Hebron, in the mountains of Judah.

And Joshua gathered all the tribe of Israel to Shiloh, and called their elders, and their officers, and their judges, and set them before God.

And Abimelech son of Jerubbaal went to Shechem, to his mother's brothers; and he spoke to them and to all the family of the house of his mother's father, saying,

And King Solomon reigned over Israel.

All these [were] men of war, setting [the army] in battle array, with a peaceful mind [towards him], and they came to Hebron to make David king over all Israel. And the rest of Israel [were of] one mind to make David king.
