And Ner begot Kish, and Kish begot Saul, and Saul begot Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-Baal.

And the name of his wife was Ahinoam, the daughter of Ahimaaz. And the name of his captain of the army was Abner, the son of Ner, Saul's uncle.

And Kish was the father of Saul, and Ner the father of Abner was the son of Jamin, son of Abiel.

And the Philistines pursued after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul's sons.

And it came to pass in the days of the war of Michmash, that there was not a sword or spear found in the hand of all the people that were with Saul and Jonathan; but they were found with Saul and Jonathan his son.
