The sons of Levi [were] Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

And the sons of Kohath [were] Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

The sons of Kohath [were] Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel.

And these [were the men] that stood, and their sons, of the sons of Kohath: Heman the psalm singer, son of Joel, the son of Samuel,

And [to the members] of the families of the sons of Kohath there were also given the cities of their borders out of the tribe of Ephraim.

And the lot came out for the children of Caath; and the sons of Aaron, the priests the Levites, had by lot thirteen cities out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin.

And to the sons of Caath that were left were [given by] lot ten cities, out of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh.

And to the families, [even] the sons of Caath the Levites, that were left of the sons of Caath, there was [given] their priests' city,

and Beth Horon and its suburbs, four cities;

and Aijalon and its suburbs; and Garh Rimmon and its suburbs, four cities.

In all [were given] ten cities, and the suburbs of each belonging to them, to the families of the sons of Caath that remained.
