Ahitub begot Zadok, and Zadok begot Ahimaaz;

And Zadok, a young [man] mighty in strength, and [there were] twenty-two leaders of his father's house.

Of the sons of Gershon, Shebuel [was] the chief.

And David distributed them, even Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their numbering, according to their service, according to the houses of their fathers.

And they also received lots as their brethren the sons of Aaron before the king; Zadok also, and Ahimelech, and the chiefs of the families of the priests and of the Levites, principal heads of families, even as their younger brethren.

And I will raise up to Myself a faithful priest, who shall do all that is in My heart and in My soul; and I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My Christ forever.

And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, [were] priests; and Seraiah [was] the scribe,

And behold also Zadok, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of the Lord. And they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had passed out of the city.

But if He should say thus, I have no pleasure in you; behold, [here] I am, let Him do to me according to that which is good in His sight.

And Hushai the Archite said to Zadok and Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus Ahithophel counseled Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counseled.

And Jonathan and Ahimaaz stood by the Well of Rogel, and a maidservant went and reported to them, and they went to tell King David; so that they might not be seen entering into the city.

And Sheva [was] scribe; and Zadok and Abiathar [were] the priests.

But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men of David, did not follow Adonijah.

But he has not invited me your servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Solomon your servant.

And there let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him to be king over Israel, and sound the trumpet, and you shall say, [Long] live King Solomon!

And the king appointed Benaiah son of Jehoiada in his place over the army; and the kingdom was established in Jerusalem. And [as for] Zadok the priest, the king appointed him to be high priest in place of Abiathar. And Solomon son of David reigned over Israel and Judah in Jerusalem. And the Lord gave understanding to Solomon, and very much wisdom, and largeness of heart, as the sand by the seashore.

And Benaiah son of Jehoiada over the army; and Zadok and Abiathar [were] priests.

The priests the Levites, the sons of Zadok, who kept the charges of My sanctuary when the house of Israel when astray from Me, these shall draw near to Me to minister to Me, and shall stand before My face, to offer sacrifice to Me, the fat and the blood, says the Lord God.
