Nevertheless the wrath of the Lord was upon Judah, so that they should be removed from His presence, because of the sins of Manasseh in all that he did, and for the innocent blood which Jehoiakim shed, for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; yet the Lord would not utterly destroy them.

Therefore thus says the Lord concerning Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, even concerning this man: they shall not lament for him, [saying], Ah brother! Neither shall they weep for him, [saying], Alas Lord.
