Now these were the sons of David that were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn [was] Amnon, [born] of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess.

The third, Absalom, the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith.

The fifth, Shephatiah, [the son] of Abital; the sixth, Ithream, by Eglah his wife.

Six were born to him in Hebron; and he reigned there seven years and six months; and he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem.

And these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon- four by Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel.

All [these were] the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines, and [there was also] Tamar their sister.

He shall come down as rain upon a fleece, and as drops falling upon the earth.

In His days shall righteousness spring up; and abundance of peace till the moon be removed.

And He shall have dominion from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

The Ethiopians shall fall down before Him, and His enemies shall lick the dust.

The kings of Tarshish, and the isles, shall bring presents: the kings of the Arabians and Sheba shall offer gifts.

And all kings shall worship Him; all the Gentiles shall serve Him.

For He has delivered the poor from the oppressor; and the needy who had no helper.
13
He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall deliver the souls of the needy.
14
He shall redeem their souls from oppression and injustice, and their name [shall be] precious before Him.
15
And He shall live, and the gold of Arabia shall be given to Him, and [men] shall pray for Him continually; [and] all the day shall they praise Him.
16
There shall be an establishment on the earth on the tops of the mountains; its fruit shall be exalted above Lebanon, and those of the city shall flourish as grass of the earth.
17
Let His name be blessed forever; His name shall endure longer than the sun, and all the tribes of the earth shall be blessed in Him: all nations shall call Him blessed.
18
Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, who alone does wonders.
19
And blessed is His glorious name forever, even forever and ever; and all the earth shall be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen.
20
The hymns of David the son of Jesse are ended.
Isaiah 9:6
For a Child is born to us, and a Son is given to us, whose government is upon His shoulder; and His name is called the Messenger of great counsel; for I will bring peace upon the princes, and health to Him.
Isaiah 9:7
His government shall be great, and of His peace there is no end; [it shall be] upon the throne of David, and [upon] His kingdom, to establish it, and to support [it] with judgment and with righteousness, from this time forward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts shall perform this.
