And the sons of Judah [were] Er, Onan, Shelah, Perez, and Zerah (but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan).

And the sons of Perez were: to Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; to Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.

And these [are] the generations of Perez: Perez begot Hezron;

Judah begot Perez and Zerah by Tamar, Perez begot Hezron, and Hezron begot Ram.
