Then King David came in, and sat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, O Lord, my Lord, and what [is] my house, that You have loved me [like] this?

And Hezekiah took the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it. And he went up to the house of the Lord, and Hezekiah spread it before the Lord,

Let there be to me a sufficiency of all the justice and all the truth which You have wrought with Your servant; for with this my staff I passed over this Jordan, and now I have become two camps.

Lord, what is man, that You are made known to him? Or the son of man, that You take account of him?

To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

And Gideon said to him, [Be gracious] with me, my Lord: how shall I save Israel? Behold, my thousand is weakened in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.

And Saul answered and said, Am I not the son of a Benjamite, the least tribe of the people of Israel? And of the least family of the whole tribe of Benjamin? And why have you spoken to me according to this word?

And he blessed them and said, The God in whose sight my fathers were well pleasing, [even] Abraham and Isaac, the God who continues to feed me from my youth until this day;

the angel who delivers me from all evils, bless these boys, and my name shall be called upon them, and the name of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac; and let them be increased to a great multitude on the earth.

And Samuel took a stone, and set it up between Mizpah and the old [city]; and he called the name of it Ebenezer, stone of the helper; and he said, Thus far has the Lord helped us.

Therefore, having obtained help from God, until this day I stand, witnessing both to common [people] and great [people], saying nothing except the things which both the prophets and Moses spoke of as being about to happen,

who delivered us from so great a death, and is delivering [us]; in whom we trust that He will still deliver [us],
