If the ax-head should fall off, then the man troubles his countenance, and he must put forth more strength; and [in that case] skill is of no advantage to a man.

and the lofty ones shall fall by the sword, and Lebanon shall fall with his lofty ones.

And the servant of Elisha rose up early and went out; and behold, an army compassed the city, and horses and chariots. And the servant said to him, O master, what shall we do?

And the king of Israel said, Alas! That the Lord should have called the three kings on their way, to give them into the hand of Moab.

standing from afar on account of the fear of her torment, saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! Because in one hour your judgment came.'

and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city, she who was clothed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and having been gilded with gold and precious stones and pearls!

"And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and sorrowing, and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city, by which all who had ships on the sea became rich by her wealth! Because in one hour she was laid waste.'

And she came and told the man of God. And Elisha said, Go, sell the oil, and you shall pay your debts, and you and your sons shall live from the remaining oil.

And if anyone borrow from his neighbor, and it becomes wounded or dies or is carried away, and the owner of it is not with it, he shall make compensation.

But if the owner is with it, he shall not make compensation: but if it is a hired thing, there shall be [a compensation] to him instead of his hire.

The sinner borrows, and will not pay again; but the righteous has compassion, and gives.
