And Cain said to the Lord God, My crime is too great for me to be forgiven.

And Moses and Aaron said to all the congregation of the children of Israel, At evening you shall know that the Lord has brought you out of the land of Egypt;

And Moses said, [This shall be] when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening, and bread in the morning to the full, because the Lord has heard your murmuring, which you murmur against us: and what are we? For your murmuring is not against us, but against God.

So Saul inquired of the Lord, and the Lord answered him not by dreams, nor by manifestations, nor by prophets.

And Saul disguised himself, and put on other clothing, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night. Then he said to her, Divine to me by the divining spirit within you, and bring up to me him whom I shall name to you.

And Saul said to his armorbearer, Draw your sword and pierce me through with it; lest these uncircumcised come and pierce me through, and mock me. But his armorbearer would not, for he feared greatly: so Saul took his sword and fell upon it.

But put forth Your hand, and touch all that he has, and he will curse You to [Your] face.

and said, I myself came forth naked from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away. As it seemed good to the Lord, so has it come to pass; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Ah, but put forth Your hand, and touch his bones and his flesh- surely he will curse You to [Your] face!

And when much time had passed, his wife said to him, How long will you hold out, saying, [ 2:9A] Behold, I wait yet a little while, expecting the hope of my deliverance? [ 2:9B] For behold, your memorial is abolished from the earth, even your sons and daughters, the pangs and pains of my womb which I bore in vain with sorrows; [ 2:9C] and you yourself sit down to spend the nights in the open air among the corruption of worms, [ 2:9D] and I am a wanderer and a servant from place to place and house to house, waiting for the setting of the sun, that I may rest from my labors, and my pangs which now beset me: [ 2:9E] but curse the Lord, and die.

The folly of a man spoils his ways, and he blames God in his heart.

And famine shall come sorely upon you, and it shall come to pass, [that] when you shall be hungry, you shall be grieved, and you shall speak evil of the prince and of your fathers' ordinances; and they shall look up to heaven above,

Withdraw your foot from a rough way, and your throat from thirst: but she said I will strengthen myself- for she loved strangers, and went after them.

And you, son of man, say to the house of Israel: Thus have you spoken, saying, Our errors, and our iniquities weigh upon us, and we pine away in them, and how then shall we live?

saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." And they said, "What is [that] to us? You see to it!"

And throwing the silver [coins] in the sanctuary, he departed; and going away, he hanged himself.

so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest somehow such a person be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.

lest we be taken advantage of by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

And men were burned with severe burns, and men blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent to give Him glory.

They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their ulcers, and they did not repent of their works.

Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and let your heart be strengthened; yea, wait on the Lord!

Submit yourself to the Lord, and make supplication to Him; do not fret because of him that prospers in his way, at the man that does unlawful deeds.

For evildoers shall be destroyed; but they that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land.

Nevertheless, my soul is subjected to God; for of Him [is] my patient hope.

And [one] shall say, I will wait for God, who has turned away His face from the house of Jacob, and I will trust in Him.

supporting truth, and keeping peace; for on You, O Lord,

Who is among you that fears the Lord? Let him hearken to the voice of His servant; you that walk in darkness, and have no light, trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon God.

TETH. The Lord is good to them that wait for Him; the soul which shall seek Him

is good, and shall wait for, and quietly expect salvation from the Lord.

For the vision is yet for a time, and it shall shoot forth at the end, and not in vain: though he should tarry, wait for him; for he will surely come, and will not tarry.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that one must always pray and not lose heart,
