And it happened one day that he went in there, and turned aside into the upper chamber, and lay there.

And the child grew. And it came to pass when he went out to his father to the reapers,

And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call me this Shunammite. So he called her, and she stood before him.

And their borders were Jezreel, Chesulloth, Shunem,

And the Philistines assembled themselves, and came and encamped in Shunem. And Saul gathered all the men of Israel, and they encamped in Gilboa.

So they sought out a lovely young woman out of all the coasts of Israel; and they found Abishag the Shunammite, and they brought her to the king.

And Barzillai was a very old man, eighty years old; and he had provided for the king when he dwelt in Mahanaim; for he was a very great man.

And his substance consisted of seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys in the pastures, and a very great household, and he had a great husbandry on the earth; and that man was [most] noble of the men of the east.

The long-lived are not wise as such, neither do the aged know judgment.

For he shall be great before the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will also be filled with the Holy Spirit, while still in his mother's womb.

And he constrained them, and they turned aside to him, and they entered into his house, and he made a feast for them, and baked unleavened cakes for them, and they did eat.

And the old man said, Peace be unto you; however [let] all your needs be upon me, and by no means lodge in the street.

So with much conversation she prevailed on him to go astray, and with the snares of her lips forced him from [the right path].

Then the master said to the servant, 'Go out into the roads and hedges, and compel [them] to come in, so that my house may be filled.

But they constrained Him, saying, "Stay with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent." And He went in to stay with them.

And when she and her household were baptized, she urged us, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay." So she persuaded us.
