But Jesus said to them, "They do not need to go away. You give them [food] to eat."

And they said to Him, "We do not have [anything] here except five loaves of bread and two fish."

Then His disciples said to Him, "Where could we get so many loaves of bread in [this] deserted place, so as to satisfy so great a crowd?"

Jesus said to them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven, and a few small fish."

But answering, He said to them, "You give them [something] to eat." And they said to Him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii [worth of] bread and give them [something] to eat?"

Then He gave orders for them all to recline in groups on the green grass.

Then His disciples answered Him, "From where will anyone be able to satisfy these [people] with bread here in this deserted place?"

But He said to them, "You give them [something] to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves of bread and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people."

There is a little boy here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they for so many?"

So they all ate and were satisfied, and they took up what they had left of the fragments, twelve baskets full.

So they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up what they had left of the fragments, seven hampers full.

But Jesus, knowing [about it], said to them, "O you of little faith, why are you reasoning among yourselves, because you did not take bread?

Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many hampers you took [up]?

So they all ate and were filled.

And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and from the fish.

"And when [I broke] the seven for the four thousand, how many hampers full of fragments did you take up?" And they said, "Seven."

So they all ate and were satisfied, and twelve baskets of the remaining fragments were taken up by them.

And Jesus took the loaves, and having given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were reclining; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wished.

Therefore they gathered [them] up, and they filled twelve baskets of fragments from the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.
