And it came to pass, when the Lord was about to take Elijah with a whirlwind into heaven, that Elijah and Elisha went out of Gilgal.

And he went from year by year on a circuit to Bethel, Gilgal, and Mizpah; and he judged Israel in all these consecrated places.

And his return was [always] to Ramah, because his house was there; and there he judged Israel, and built there an altar to the Lord.

Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all those who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.

Then after some days Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us return now and visit our brothers in each city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are doing."

And Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he [had] restored to life, saying, Arise and go, you and your household, and sojourn wherever you may sojourn; for the Lord has called for a famine upon the land; indeed it will come upon the land [for] seven years.

When I afflict you with famine of bread, then ten women shall bake your loaves in one oven, and they shall render your loaves by weight; and you shall eat, and not be satisfied.

The Lord smite you with distress, and fever, and cold, and inflammation, and blighting, and paleness, and they shall pursue you until they have destroyed you.

The Lord your God shall make the rain of your land dust; and dust shall come down from heaven, until it has destroyed you, and until it has quickly consumed you.

You shall carry forth much seed into the field, and you shall bring in little, because the locust shall devour it.

You shall have olive trees in all your borders, and you shall not anoint you with oil, because your olive shall utterly cast [its fruit].

And there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David sought the face of the Lord. And the Lord said, [There is] guilt upon Saul and his house because of his bloody murder, whereby he slew the Gibeonites.

And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah concerning the drought.

And her nobles have sent their little ones to the water: they came to the wells, and found no water: and brought back their vessels empty.

And the deer gave birth in the field, and forsook [it], because there was no grass.

Son of man, if a land shall sin against Me by committing a trespass, then will I stretch out My hand upon it, and will break its staff of bread, and will send forth famine upon it, and cut off man and beast from it.

But I tell you truly, [there] were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine all over the land;

And the sons of the prophets who were in Bethel came to Elisha, and said to him, Do you know that the Lord this day is going to take away your master from over you? And he said, Yes, I know [it]; be silent.

And Saul sent messengers to take David, and they saw the assembly of the prophets, and Samuel stood as appointed over them; and the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they prophesied.

watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my entrances.

Now it came to pass that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both hearing them and questioning them.

Then they went out to see what had happened, and they came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had come out [of], sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and being of sound mind. And they were afraid.

Now the man from whom the demons had come out was begging Him that he might be with Him. But Jesus sent him away, saying,

And the [woman] had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and was listening to His word.

"I am indeed a Jew, having been born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but having been brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, having been educated according to the exactness of the law of our forefathers, being zealous for God just as you all are today.

But answering, He said to them, "You give them [something] to eat." And they said to Him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii [worth of] bread and give them [something] to eat?"

I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been remaining with Me three days and have nothing to eat.

Then His disciples answered Him, "From where will anyone be able to satisfy these [people] with bread here in this deserted place?"

So He commanded the crowd to recline on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and having given thanks, He broke [them] and was giving [them] to His disciples, so that they might set [them] before [the people]; and they set them before the crowd.

But He said to them, "You give them [something] to eat." And they said, "We have no more than five loaves of bread and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people."

Then Jesus said to them, "Children, have you any food?" They answered Him, "No."

Then as they got off onto the land, they saw a charcoal fire laid there, and fish placed on it, and bread.
