And the Lord visited Sarah, as He said, and the Lord did to Sarah, as He spoke.

And they rose early in the morning, and worshipped the Lord, and they went their way. And Elkanah went into his house at Ramathaim, and knew his wife Anna; and the Lord remembered her, and she conceived.

And it came to pass when the time had come, that she brought forth a son, and called his name Samuel, and said, Because I asked him of the Lord God of Sabaoth.

who settles the barren [woman] in a house, [as] a mother rejoicing over children.

Now after those days Elizabeth his wife conceived; and stayed in seclusion five months, saying,

"Thus the Lord has dealt with me, in the days when He looked on [me], to take away my reproach among men."

And behold, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for she who was called barren.

By faith Sarah herself also received power for conception of seed, and she bore a child past the normal age, because she regarded [Him] faithful who had promised.
