And they struck the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great, and they were wearied with seeking the door.

And it came to pass after it went about to Gath, that the hand of the Lord came upon the city, and [there was] very great confusion. And He struck the men of the city, [both] small and great, and struck them in their secret parts. And the Gittites made for themselves images of tumors.

And as to the women and all things that were in it, great and small, they killed neither man nor woman, but carried them away captive, and went on their way.

And that whoever should not seek the Lord God of Israel should die, whether young or old, whether man or woman.

when the days of the marriage feast were completed, the king made a banquet for the nations who were present in the city six days, in the court of the king's house,

The small and great are there, and the servant that feared his lord.

He has blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

Therefore, having obtained help from God, until this day I stand, witnessing both to common [people] and great [people], saying nothing except the things which both the prophets and Moses spoke of as being about to happen,

And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened the books. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by the things having been written in the books, according to their works.

And Moses charged them in that day, saying, After seven years, in the time of the year of release, in the Feast of Tabernacles,

having assembled the people, the men, and the women, and the children, and the stranger that is in your cities, that they may hear, and that they may learn to fear the Lord your God; and they shall hearken to do all the words of this law.

And they taught in Judah, and [there was] with them the Book of the Law of the Lord, and they passed through the cities of Judah, and taught the people.

And the seventh month arrived, and the children of Israel [were settled] in their cities. And all the people were gathered as one man to the broad place before the Water Gate, and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord commanded Israel.

And he read in it from sunrise until midday, before the men and the women; and they understood [it], and the ears of all the people [were attentive] to the Book of the Law.

And Ezra opened the book before all the people, for he was above the people; and it came to pass when he had opened it, [that] all the people stood.

And Jeshua, Bani and Sherebiah instructed the people in the law, and the people [stood] in their place.

And they stood in their place, and read in the Book of the Law of the Lord their God; and they confessed [their sins] to the Lord, and worshipped the Lord their God.

In that day they read in the Book of Moses in the ears of the people; and it was found written in it, that the Ammonites and Moabites should not enter into the congregation of God forever;

And Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord. And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

Take the book of this law, and you shall put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God; and it shall be there among you for a testimony.

There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant which Moses put [there] in Horeb, which [tablets] the Lord made [as a covenant] with the children of Israel in their going forth from the land of Egypt.
