And they went up and surveyed the land from the Wilderness of Zin to Rehob, as men go in to Hamath.

And this shall be your northern border; from the great sea you shall measure to yourselves, by the side of the mountain.

And you shall measure to yourselves the mountain from Mount [Hor] at the entering in to Hamath, and the termination of it shall be the coasts of Zedad.

Hamath, Berothah, between the coasts of Damascus and the coasts of Emathi, the habitation of Saunan, which [places] are above the coasts of Auranitis.

And the eastern coasts between Loranitis and Damascus, and the land of Gilead, and the land of Israel, the Jordan divides to the sea that is east of the city of palm trees. These are the eastern [coasts].

[ 6:15] For behold, O house of Israel, I will raise up against you a nation, says the Lord of hosts, and they shall afflict you so that you shall not enter into Hamath, and as it were to the valley of the Arabah.

All these met with one accord at the Salt Valley; this is now the Salt Sea.

And the Arabah and the Jordan [are] the boundaries of Chinnereth, even to the sea of Arabah, the Salt Sea under Asedoth Pisga eastward.

Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
